Independence Day Celebration!

Dear Parents,
The topic this week will be Celebrating Independence Day, an important date for all its meaning. this issue will serve to create and do various activities, will be one day the president of the united states, will make fireworks, picnic and various activities that will be more to remember and celebrate

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK:
Monday:
First we will listen to the anthem of the United States and we will speak of the symbols of this country, (its president, a hat, etc.) and we will play “who be the President of the United States?”
Tuesday:
We will picnic in celebration of Independence Day, also create fireworks with cleaners which then will make art.
Wednesday:
It’s crazy hair day! We will decorate lanterns with the flag colors for the independence day parade which will also be the day to be the President.
Thursday:
Independence day parade! The kids and teachers will wear the colors of the flag and decorate the school with art they did during the week.
Friday:
The school is closed.
SPECIAL NOTES:
  • Any parents interested in participating in our activities, please coordinate with administration and teachers! The children will have great fun!
  • Remember Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings are our splash days and we must bring appropriate clothing and shoes. Our kids love this activity and they are always ready to participate.
  • Tuesday some of our children have soccer class in the morning.
  • Wednesday we will have our music class.
WEEKLY REMINDERS:
Please bring in Sunscreen for you children and please do not forget to fill out the Sunscreen Application.  Please make sure that the expiration date is no earlier than October 2014
Please make sure your child has weather appropriate extra clothing in    their cubbies!!
Please label all your child’s belongings.

We Go Camping!

“WE GO CAMPING” - “NOS VAMOS DE CAMPAMENTO”
Dear Parents,
The topic this week is we will go camping. We’ll pretend to be explorers and seek for insects outdoors. We will do a paper campfire, use a sleeping bag, flashlights, backpacks and we will be all ready to be good at camping. We will also be reading our favorite stories and parents who wish can participate. This week will be full of great fun!

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK:
The first thing this week is to welcome the summer and tell the children how it will be formed.
Monday:
We will play to be explorers and will look for insects, rocks and flowers. You may bring binoculars and water bottles. Everything we find will be used in our science area!
Tuesday:
It is the day of the campfire. We will make a campfire out of paper and then sit around it to sing and make sounds using musical instruments.
Wednesday:
We share our  favorite story while laying in our sleeping bags. We will also have a picnic and listen to sounds of nature, this will be much fun!
Thursday:
YAY it’s Pajama Day! We will talk about everything we have explored and make our own binoculars.
Friday:
Camp Day! We will sit in our tents and we'll read a story. We will also do art relating to the theme of the week.
This week we will also have kitchen days, make lemonade, and have everyone’s favorite, our splash days (Monday and Thursday)!

Summer is here!

“SUMMER IS HERE!” - “LLEGO EL VERANO!”
Dear Parents,
This week we begin the long awaited summer with many activities for the kids YAY! Our theme this week will be “summer is here!” Besides enjoying this season, the children will be more creative and continue to develop motor and social skills.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK:
The first thing this week is to welcome the summer and tell the chidlren how it will be formed.
Monday:
Let's sing songs welcoming the summer, talk about the climate and duration of the summer, and we will also do craft related to the topic and make sandcastles.
Tuesday:
It is glasses day! We will also talk about sea animals, bears and jellyfish.
Wednesday:
It is hat day! We will also post art on the entrance wall of the room.
Thursday:
We visited Mr. Simon, made a puppet show, and we made riddles and poems.
Friday:It’s our Luau! Who believe as we close the week all Hawaiians will parade with music. Please bring your children dressed according to the topic.
This week we will also have kitchen days, make lemonade, and have everyone’s favorite, our splash days (Monday and Thursday)!
