Dear Parents,

I hope everybody is excited to start a new week of our Christmas celebration.  We had a great time during our Christmas show, on December 14th.  I hope everybody enjoyed this important moment.  Your children delivered a great performance.  Congratulations!

Learning activities:        

Math: Children will review numbers from cero to 11. 

Language and Literacy: Children will review the letters they had learned through these months.   

Art:  Kids will prepare a Christmas Greeting card and finish their art project.

Dear Parents,

We are so exited this week - it’s our Christmas celebration! You’re a very important part of our celebration which is on Monday, the 14 at St. Raphael Church.

On Thursday, the 17th we’ll have a visit of Santa Claus, please remember to bring a wrapped book so Santa can give the gift to your child.

As members of a family and community, we are engaged in different celebrations and events. Through the study of this topic, our Sapitos will have the opportunity to understand the importance and reasons for these celebrations, like: how and where are held, and which elements are included in these celebrations.  Also, they’ll learn about different traditions and celebrations that take place at different levels of society, including: the household, the community, and the world.

Theme of the Week:  “Thanksgiving Celebration”

Dear Parents,

I hope you are doing well. This week we will learn about the Celebration of Thanksgiving, the story behind this tradition.  Children will also explore how important is to develop social skills, sharing with friends. 

Children will have fun making a delicious snack with fruit and cheese they will construct a turkey. With this activity they will learn the importance of eating healthy, of sharing and giving thanks. Also we will read a story about Thanksgiving day.

Hello Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new week!  We will continue to work on the topic: “My community and me”, from an early age is important to learn about the environment in which we live and public buildings of our community, like government buildings. Local spots are especially important, such as: the mall, supermarket, or shoe store. Our goal for the children is that they can learn about these places and their functions in the community.  We will continue encouraging children to learn Spanish in fun way while they grow and enjoy the fun activities in a comfortable, healthy, and safe environment.

Welcome to a new week!  We will continue to work on the topic: “My Community and Me” especially, on the places that we can find in  the city, such as: hospitals, libraries, fire stations, theatres, malls, supermarket, and more. By working on this topic with children our goal is for them to learn about these places and their functions in the community. 

We will continue encouraging children to learn Spanish as a second language in fun way while they continue growing up and enjoying our fun activities in a comfortable, healthy and safe environment.

Week of: November 2nd to November 6th.

Theme of the Week:  “My community servers”.

During this week, the children will learn about community members and their importance for the development of our society.   We’ll receive a visit from some community helpers like the Fire Fighter Department of Raleigh.  The children are very excited and eager to learn more about letters and to apply this knowledge in their daily activities. 

Learning activities:        

In Math, we will learn about more and less. In Language, we will play with jumble sentences, organizing short words learned in order.  In Art, we will make a penguin in order to decorate our class’s door.
