Week 34: Easter!

Hello dear Parents and welcome to a new week! 

We begin a new week and are excited because we will celebrate Easter. During this week, our goal will be for the children to learn about the traditions that different countries and cultures maintain when they celebrate Easter, such as: typical foods, games, and music. Also, children will continue to increase their Spanish vocabulary about Easter and in general. Finally, children will enjoy having the "Easter Hunt" on Thursday the 2nd with the visit of the Easter Bunny as a surprise for the kids.


SONG OF THE MONTH: La Chacarera

Week 33: My culture and traditions

“My culture and traditions” – “Mi cultura y tradiciones”

Dear Parents:
The classroom goal for this week is to learn about new countries and how different or similar the life of children around the world.  We will support our inquiry using visual resources like pictures, videos, maps, etc.  Also, during this week, the class will continue practicing fine motor skills, like: tracing, cutting and modeling.  In the language area, we will be engaged in fun literacy activities like relating pictures with beginning sounds and symbols.

“Mi Cultura y Tradiciones –  My Culture and Traditions “

Dear Parents:
We begin a new week, and we are very excited because we will teach a new topic to our Ositos: "My Culture and Traditions." During this week, our goal will be for the children to learn about the American culture and traditions, as well as cultures and traditions of their families from other countries. We will teach them about its holidays, typical foods, music, and customs. Moreover, because we believe that children should grow in a world where the diversity cultural is respected, we will encourage them to learn about different cultures and traditions as well as to be respectful with them. Also, children will continue to increase their Spanish vocabulary.

Dear Parents:
We are happy to welcome you to a new and interesting week.
My goal for this week will be provide children with learning opportunities that will expand their knowledge about their country.  They will understand that United States is a multicultural country with many cultures and races, where respect is the key element.  Finally, we will share travel experiences in the States, in order to learn more about important landmarks and representative US cities.
