Theme of the Week:  “Family traditions”

Dear Parents,
As members of a family and community, we are engaged in different celebrations and events. Through the study of this topic, our Sapitos will have the opportunity to understand the importance and reasons for these celebrations, like: how and where are held, and which elements are included in these celebrations.  Also, they’ll learn about different traditions and celebrations that take place at different levels of society, including: the household, the community, and the world.

Learning activities:        
Math: Children will learn a new number, associate this number with quantity, and trace it. Language and literacy: Children will continue to learn new letters, trace them, and identify them on syllables.

Theme of the Week:  “Thanksgiving Celebration”

Dear Parents,

I hope you are doing well. This week we will learn about the Celebration of Thanksgiving, the story behind this tradition.  Children will also explore how important is to develop social skills, sharing with friends. 

Children will have fun making a delicious snack with fruit and cheese they will construct a turkey. With this activity they will learn the importance of eating healthy, of sharing and giving thanks. Also we will read a story about Thanksgiving day.

The children in Ositos A class enjoyed singing the song "PROFESIONES/COMUNIDAD". Parents do encourage your child to listen to this song at home too . It can be found in in our Sff! CD.

Learning activities:        
Math: Children will review the numbers, from zero to ten. 
Language and Literacy: Children will learn about the Thanksgiving Celebration Story and prepare a delicious snack to share in class.

Theme of the Week:  “places and transportation, of community helpers”

Hello Dear Parents,
Welcome to a new week!  We will continue to work on the topic: “My community and me”, from an early age is important to learn about the environment in which we live and public buildings of our community, like government buildings. Local spots are especially important, such as: the mall, supermarket, or shoe store. Our goal for the children is that they can learn about these places and their functions in the community.  We will continue encouraging children to learn Spanish in fun way while they grow and enjoy the fun activities in a comfortable, healthy, and safe environment.

Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new week!  We will continue to work on the topic: “My Community and Me” especially, on the places that we can find in  the city, such as: hospitals, libraries, fire stations, theatres, malls, supermarket, and more. By working on this topic with children our goal is for them to learn about these places and their functions in the community. 
We will continue encouraging children to learn Spanish as a second language in fun way while they continue growing up and enjoying our fun activities in a comfortable, healthy and safe environment.
