Theme of the Week:How Things Work
Dear Parents,
Welcome to a new month. This month we have an exciting theme,our children will learn about lot of interesting items. It is important that children learn about the objects that surround us and how to operate them. This basic knowledge also stimulates interest and creativity.  It can also help to generate new concepts. Children learn various elements and artifacts of daily life by performing scientific experiments and logical comparisons that will stimulate their cognition and critical thinking.
They also will participate in the project "Young Scientists" where through experiential experiments will highlight the important role that science plays in our understanding of many facets of everyday life.
Learning activities:         
Math: Children will learn a new number, associate this number with quantity, and trace it.
Language and literacy: Children will continue to learn new letters, trace them, and identify them on syllables.

Week of: February 25th to 29th
Theme of the Week: “Art week”

Dear Parents,
I hope everybody enjoyed the Martin Luther King’s holiday.  During this week, you will have the pleasure to admire the artistic works created by your children.  They are unique and very creative.  Please, have take a some time to congratulate them for their good job.  And take the opportunity a chance to take pictures with them.   

Learning activities:         
Math: Children will learn number 13, and review how to order numbers from 0 to 13.  
Language and Literacy: Children will read “Level A” books in pairs and practice their reading comprehension.
Art:  Kids will have a great week to trytrying different kind of techniques and admiringe the works from well-known artists, like Picasso or Monet.

Theme of the Week: “Means of Communication”

Dear Parents,
Welcome everybody to a new week.  During this period of time, children will learn about the importance of the means of communication and their relationship with social development.  
We will request your help write a brief letter to your child and to be sent to class with us.  Students will be very excited to read them.  We On the same side, we will have Movie Time on Friday, the 22nd , and learn about some of the resources that the Internet provides.   

Learning activities:         
Math: Children will review learn number 13, and review the previous numbers.  
Language and Literacy: Children will learn a new letter, and play jumble sentences in pairs.    
Art:  Kids will make some means of communications using recycle boxes.

Welcome to the second week of 2016. We are at half way through ourschool year and your child has gained so much knowledge - thank you so much for all your support. Through this unit we want to continue with the recognition of all the means of communication that are helpful and needed by the community. We refer specifically to the means of transport and communication. We've created experiential activities and projects so that the children can have a closer relationship and knowledge of the means of land, air, and sea transport. We’re doing the same with means of communication, whether daily, personal, or for entertainment in your community
