Theme of the Week:  “Science in my Daily Life”    

Dear Parents,

This week our children will become "Young Scientists" where through experiential experiments will highlight the important role that science plays in our understanding of many facts of everyday life. Also we will learn why and how we recycle; your child could learn some techniques to recycle making fun pieces.

Learning activities:         

Math: Children will learn a new number, associate this number with quantity, and trace it. Language and Lliteracy: Children will continue to learn new letters, trace them, and identify them on syllables.

Week of February 15th to 19th

Theme of the Week:  “We are Scientists”

Dear Parents,:   

Welcome to an exciting week.  During these days children will learn how to make experiments and enjoy participating in them.  We will take pictures and videos and to share.   Children will learn more about the scientific method, making predictions, and following the correct steps to make these activities work.   

Also, they will identify some objects properties, like magnetism and the results after the interaction between two different substances -, like oil and water.  

Learning activities:         

Math: Children will review numbers from zero to fifteen.  

Reading:  Children will read level “A” books in pairs and practice writing skills on white boards.

Science:  A variety of experiments will be done by children, like how to make a lava bottle, sink and float properties and how to use magnets.

Theme of the Week:How Things Work”    

Dear Parents,.

Welcome to the second week of February! Tthis week, we’ll celebrate St. Valentine’s day by teaching each child about the concept of friendship For out theme, we are excited to focus on music instruments and we’ll get to hear some of the most famous instruments around of world In addition, this week our children will learn how other object, such as: cars, trains, and bicycles , work.  We’ll study how  these machines help with our daily life.

 Please bring any medium to large sized cans so that we can use these recycled materials to make our drums to help learn about our theme.

For Tuesday, If you know play any instrument and you want share with our children please, talk with your child teacher.
