Dear Ositos Parents,

Welcome to a new school year at Sff! We are also excited to welcome new children in our classroom! We are looking forward to getting to know you and your child. Children will need to adapt to a new teacher and new friends, we will be with them in every step of the way. This week our theme will be My school and friends! Children will start exploring the school as a big house and a big family. We have scheduled exciting learning activities related to this theme that will allow us to continue strengthening motor, cognitive-sensory and language. Thank you for your support and for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life.

Best Regards,

Classroom: Dinosaurs
Blog Title: Summer Camp
Week: August 8th to August 12th, 2016
Weekly Featured Theme: Little Clowns & Magicians

What are we learning?

Dear Dinosaurs Parents,

The last week of Summer Camp is finally here and we want to thank you for giving us the opportunity  to teach and take care of your little children. The children have enjoyed all our learning activities including Camping Day, Splash Day, Princesses and Knights Parade, etc.

This week we will learn to be Little Clowns and Magicians. Children will explore the amazing world in the circus. They will learn interesting facts about the clowns, the magicians and the trapeze artists. We have scheduled exciting learning activities related to this theme that will allow us to continue strengthening motor, cognitive-sensory and language skills such as painting a circus, discovering a clown from the surprise box, making clowns with paper plates and participating in a trapeze artist show with balls and blocks. They will also create a circus tent as an art project. On Thursday, we will also have a social event at Sff! Children will dance, play and have a lot of fun.

Thank you once again for all your support and for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life.

Materials for Special Projects/Activities

Have your child wear swimsuit, splashers or swim diapers and water shoes for Splash Day. Bring a towel and a plastic bag for wet items. Pack all these items in a tote bag for your child. We recommend to label the bag, swimsuit, towel and shoes with your child’s name.

Friendly Reminders

  • Make sure to bring extra sets of clothing appropriate to weather.
  • Sunscreen is important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn. Yet applying sunscreen to your child requires planning.
