Week 30: My Country

SALON “OSITOS A”
Miss Mónica & Miss Gladys
Week 30from: March 2nd to 6th, 2015.
Theme of the Week: “My country”

Hello dear parents and welcome to a new month!

We begin a new month, and we are very excited because we will teach a new topic to our Ositos: "My Country." During this week, our goal will be that children can learn where the United States is on the world map and in the American continent, which neighboring countries have, and the oceans that limit it. To encourage children to learn more about our country, we also will teach them about famous and known places that our country has at North, South, East and West. Children also will learn about the U.S. flag, its Colors and what its Stars mean, which its currency is, and about its traditional music. Moreover, because we believe that children should grow in a world where the diversity cultural is respected, we will encourage them to learn about different people that live in our country as well as to be respectful with them by valuing their traditions and culture. Also, children will continue to increase their Spanish vocabulary.

SONG OF THE WEEK: “CANCIÓN DE MI PAÍS”
Yo nací en un lindo país
Con 4 estaciones
2 mares azules
Montañas y por venir
Yo soy feliz
Creciendo en este país
Aprendo respeto cuidado
y entrego lo mejor que hay en mí
En Sff! me enseñan muchas cosas de mi país
El respeto por mi amiguito
Me hace siempre un niño feliz (bis)
¡Que viva mi país!

POEM:
El país donde vivo
Es mi hermoso hogar
Sus paisajes, los lugares
Todo luce fenomenal.
Yo lo cuido, Lo valoro.
Yo lo quiero de verdad.

TONGUE-TWISTER
Tantos ríos
Pocos puentes
Pocos ríos
Tantos puentes

Es el lugar donde vivimos
Es de todos nuestro hogar
Tiene hermosos lugares
Para cuidar y visitar.

IMPORTANT! To work in our new project: “My country” (“Mi país”), we think that it will be amazing to share photos of our children and their families enjoying of different places around the different states, counties or cities.
