Week of: November 2nd to November 6th.
Theme of the Week:  “My community servers”.

During this week, the children will learn about community members and their importance for the development of our society.   We’ll receive a visit from some community helpers like the Fire Fighter Department of Raleigh.  The children are very excited and eager to learn more about letters and to apply this knowledge in their daily activities. 

Learning activities:        
In Math, we will learn about more and less. In Language, we will play with jumble sentences, organizing short words learned in order.  In Art, we will make a penguin in order to decorate our class’s door.

Week of: October 26th to October 30th, 2015. 
Theme of the Week:  “Different Types and Parts of Houses”

Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new week!  We will start working on a new topic: “Different Types and Parts of the Houses.” With this theme, our children will learn the different ways that people live and different situations. It is necessary to help children not only to recognize the places they live but also to recognize the places of others.
We will continue encouraging children to learn Spanish as a second language in a fun way while they continue growing up and enjoying of funny activities in a comfortable, healthy and safe environment.
Dear parent we need you cooperation this week.
Tuesday we need funny pictures or activity pictures with the family.
Friday is our Halloween parade, children will dress a costume.
 
Learning activities:
  • Math: Children will learn a new number, associate this number with a quantity, and trace it. 
  • Language and literacy: Children will continue to learn vowels, trace them, and identify syllables.  They will also learn to make sentences with words and images and separate the words by syllables.
  • Art: we will create a frame for our funny pictures.

Theme of the Week:  “My Family”

Dear Parents,
Welcome to a new week!  We will start to work on a new topic, “My Family.” Our children will learn about of their friends’ families and teach the others about their own. Furthermore, the children will learn the meaning of family and we also will strengthen the feeling of being part of one.
Our goal for this topic is for the children to learn about different kinds of families, the role and responsibility of each of their members, and the different kinds of housing where a family can live.
We will continue encouraging children to learn Spanish as a second language in a fun way while they continue growing up and enjoying of fun activities in a comfortable, healthy and safe environment.

Learning activities:        
Math: Children will learn a new number, associate this number with quantity, and trace it. Language and literacy: Children will continue to learn vowels, trace them, and identify them in words.
Art: Children will create each member of their families with clothespins.

Theme of the Week:  “Getting active”

Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new week.  The children are very happy to learn more, day by day.  This week, we will begin talking about the relationship between physical activity and staying healthy.  We will be practice some fun sports, like soccer and basketball.   Finally, we will continue identifying the beginning sounds of words and relate them with letter symbols through games, reading aloud, situations, and songs. 

Learning activities:        
In Math, we will learn a new number, how to trace and compose.  
inIn Language, we will play with letter and sounds.   And, in order for events stories.   
On Art, we will start our Jack o lantern project using recycle products.

Theme of the Week:  “My feelings”
Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new week and month!  We will start on a new topic: “My Feelings.” With this theme, our children will learn that each of us is important as well as how to address feelings in different situations. It is necessary to help children, not only to recognize their feelings, but also to achieve assertive expression. Through teaching this topic, we want the child to express when they feel happy, sad, or upset and also how to identify the feelings. The ability to recognize and express your feelings will allow the child to better relate to people, develop self-confidence, regulate their conduct, and promote communication and empathy with others.

We will continue to encourage children to learn Spanish as a second language in a fun way while they grow up and enjoy fun activities in a comfortable, healthy, and safe environment.
