Classroom: Dinosaurs

Blog Title: Little Gardeners
Week: July 11th thru July 15th, 2016
Weekly Featured Theme: Gardening & Nature

🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Dinosaurs Parents,

This week we will learn to be little gardeners and we will discuss about nature, trees and plants. We will continue creating safe learning environments that offer the children the opportunity to explore and experiment with nature. We have scheduled exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills such as planting flower seeds, decorating our pots, reading books about nature, plants and insects and enjoying water fun in Splash days.

Thank you once again for all your support and for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life.

📄 Materials for Special Projects/Activities

Have your child wear swimsuit, splashers or swim diapers and water shoes for Splash Day. Bring a towel and a plastic bag for wet items. Pack all these items in a tote bag for your child. We recommend to label the bag, swimsuit, towel and shoes with your child’s name.

🔆 Friendly Reminders

Check your child’s cubby every Friday and take home your child’s blanket for laundry. Make sure to bring it back on Monday.
Make sure to bring extra sets of clothing appropriate to weather.
Sunscreen is important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn. Yet applying sunscreen to your child requires planning. If sunscreen must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and label the sunscreen bottle with your child's name.
Remove all your child projects completed from the cubby.
